Plussulien village is in the Cotes d'Armor, so offers a different area to explore. Plussulien village itself offers a range of basic amenities, including the lovely bakery and a couple of bars. There's also an impressive church . The small town of Corlay with its interesting castle is only 5 minutes drive away, or within 15 minutes, you can be in Gouarec or Mur de Bretagne, or explore the beautiful area around Le Lac de Guerledan or the Abbaye Bon Repos, which has a fantastic 'Son et Lumiere' presentation every August and a host of other events during the year, plus a Sunday Farmers' and Craft Market selling lovely produce and artisanal gifts every summer.
Les Historiques in Gouarec is a historical themed day in July, which is well worth a visit, with the whole town turing 'period' for that day and plenty of lively entertainment and music.
Les Vieilles Charrues, a massive annual rock/folk festival takes place in July near Carhaix (Less than 45 mins from Plussulien) In 2012, the line-up included Bob Dylan, Sting, The Cure, Portishead and Garbage among others.
